Bergmeyer designs experiences for several of the world’s most ambitious brands, and we’re looking for a Senior Designer in our Boston or Columbus office to join us in shaping the future of retail. This talented and resourceful designer will bring a positive, collaborative work style to lead design on projects for our clients. You’ll take ownership of complex projects from concept through construction, mentor team members, and deliver exceptional work across a broad range of consumer environments. Qualifications:

n  Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture

n  NCIDQ Certification or Architecture License is a plus

n  8-10 years of recent experience in retail-based projects

n  Proficiency with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite

n  Experience with Enscape or similar visualization tools and Miro a plus

Essential Skills and Responsibilities

n  Ability to develop and communicate compelling design ideas quickly and effectively, translating creative thinking into thoughtful, buildable solutions in collaboration with project teams, clients, and consultants

n  Lead the full design process from conceptual design through Construction Administration as the senior design resource on a project team

n  Mentor and guide design team members, providing thoughtful feedback and creative partnership while supporting the development of their technical and design skills

n  Initiate innovative design concepts and maintain design intent across multiple projects simultaneously

n  Listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and bring curiosity and sound judgment to design conversations.

n  Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work closely with clients while building trust

n  Comfortable navigating brand standards and working directly with brand-focused clients

n  Experience with fast-paced projects and the ability to meet deadlines with high quality, thoughtful solutions

n  Knowledge of retail design trends, including digital technology integration, emerging markets and retail formats, and experiential design

 

**The base salary will be estimated to be between $95,000 and $120,000 contingent on relevant experience, plus a variable bonus and benefits.

 

Employees are expected to work out of our office 3+ days a week, consistent with Bergmeyer’s Flexible Work Policy.

Travel is required.
